Chillbox Frozen Yoghurt is a large-scale multi-language website with more than 10 countries and a huge amount of content. Therefore the CMS back-end architecture needs to be very organized in order for each country’s “administrator” to easily edit the content. The tricky part with Chillbox, besides translating the original content, was adjusting the content displayed to each country’s needs. I had to move all the content from the existing site to a new CMS installation and ensure that the back-end architecture and all URL’s were organized & consistent for each country. Granularity, consistency and clean architecture in the back-end was a key for this project. Also I evolved the front-end code architecture in order for the site to be mobile friendly. Also during the process I manage to mentor two Front-End developers how to work efficiently to Backbone’s custom CMS & workflow.
No, not the JS framework, I mean Backbone Technology inc. - it's a digital agency. This project was developed while I was working as a Front-End Developer at their headquarters in Vancouver, BC. I was responsible for the Front-End development and code architecture, including building custom components and using their API's. All the sites I developed have been built from zero, using no templates and on top of their custom CMS and API.

Expression is the custom CMS that Backbone Technology inc. uses to build sites. Every project starts from zero and the functionality can be added in pieces such as elements, modules and components.
Responsive is not only about overwriting CSS with media queries, it’s actually much more than that. It’s about code architecture, clean cutting-edge UI/UX, stability and performance. My target devices for all responsive projects are Android and iOS.
